Transparency and service commitments

See EnergyScope's role, commercial boundaries, publication standards and routes for correction before you choose a service.

Current publication status

What is confirmed — and what is not

Transparency is not a claim that we are transparent. It means showing who provides the service, where information comes from, when a commercial interest may arise, and what is not yet publishable.

Role

An energy information, education and referral-preparation platform

EnergyScope is primarily for Chinese-speaking businesses in the UK. We organise market data, contract and rights information into accessible content and self-service tools, with a business-energy enquiry route that the user chooses to start.

What we do

  • Show market-data source, unit, period, methodology and status.
  • Provide reading, downloads and in-browser tools without compulsory registration.
  • Keep education, subscriptions, reminders, business enquiries and referrals as separate records.

What we are not

  • An energy supplier, Ofgem, government body or ombudsman.
  • A solicitor, financial adviser or case adjudicator.
  • A comparison service claiming whole-market coverage, guaranteed savings or the lowest price.

Three choices remain separate

You may only read or use a tool. That does not subscribe you, make you a sales lead or authorise a referral.

  1. 01

    Read, use tools or download

No compulsory registration, automatic subscription or transfer to a broker.

  2. 02

    Subscriptions and renewal reminders

Recorded by stated purpose, topic and channel; service reminders remain separate from ongoing marketing.

  3. 03

    Business enquiry and referral

We first understand the need. Before a transfer, the recipient, data, purpose and remuneration relationship must be named.

How we may earn

Revenue should not hide behind the word ‘free’

Some content and tools can be used without charge. That does not mean EnergyScope can never earn revenue, or that a future commercial relationship has no relevance to the user.

What can currently be claimed

This build has no named partner or commission arrangement approved for public claim. It therefore does not display partner companies, fee rates, savings or referral-success claims.

If a revenue relationship exists later, disclose before transfer

  • The named receiving company and its role.
  • The minimum fields shared, purpose and retention or contact arrangement.
  • How EnergyScope may receive a fixed fee, commission or other benefit.
  • That refusing transfer does not affect reading, tools or downloads already used.

Partners and referrals

A partnership is not blank permission

A business enquiry asks EnergyScope to understand the need. It does not authorise transfer to an unnamed third party.

Downloading a complaint template, viewing a market chart, using a calculator or subscribing to updates never automatically becomes a business-energy lead.

Before any real referral, the system must hold

  • An approved named partner and service role.
  • The minimum fields needed for that transfer and a specific purpose.
  • The remuneration or interest disclosure shown to the user.
  • The user's recorded confirmation for that company, purpose and data.

Our standards

Information must pass gates before it is treated as published

Fetched, processed and publishable are different states. A value existing technically does not prove reuse rights, quality or human approval.

  1. 1. Source

Retain the originating organisation, dataset, URL, timing and reuse basis.

  2. 2. Method and quality

Check unit, frequency, coverage, gaps, revisions and calculation; do not hide absence with zeroes or invented lines.

  3. 3. Review

High-risk content and market series retain reviewer, evidence, decision and revision or audit records.

  4. 4. Publication

Production reads only content that passes the required gates; database or service failure never silently falls back to demo.

We do not invent or imply

  • Live prices, whole-market cheapest status or guaranteed savings.
  • Partners, official accreditation, legal review or customer testimonials.
  • That a tool estimate is a supplier quote, contract outcome or finding on individual rights.

Service scope

Business energy is central; home energy is educational

Contract rules, protections and external routes can differ by customer type, so the two are not treated as interchangeable.

Business energy

  • Market information and official benchmarks.
  • Education on contracts, LOAs, broker fees and complaints.
  • Self-service tools, renewal reminders and user-initiated business enquiries.

Home energy

  • Price Cap, bill terminology and energy-use education.
  • General organisation of protections and complaint routes.
  • No domestic switching, home quotes or home-energy referrals.

Content is mainly UK-focused. Great Britain and Northern Ireland are separated where their systems differ. English uses British English; Chinese is available in Traditional and Simplified forms.

Editorial and AI policy

AI may help organise work, but it is not a source, reviewer or adjudicator

Trust depends on verifiable sources, clear methodology, a last-checked date and publication review — not on fluent generation.

Data and editorial content

  • Original summaries link back to primary sources rather than copying news articles.
  • Changing market, rule and protection content states its source and review date.
  • Demo drafts, candidate data and published material use different status labels.

Use of AI

  • AI may assist planning, translation, rewriting, testing and drafting.
  • An AI draft is not legal, data-rights or editorial approval.
  • The complaint prompt is copied or edited in the browser; anything pasted into third-party AI is governed by that service.

Commercial labelling

  • Sponsorship, affiliate, referral or other interests must be disclosed beside the relevant content.
  • A commercial relationship cannot turn unverified data, exaggerated claims or invented reviews into publishable material.
  • Editorial information remains distinguishable from a request-for-contact call to action.

Corrections and accountability

Corrections, complaints about this site and external energy disputes use different routes

A correction request stays outside sales. A complaint about EnergyScope is not sent into a supplier or broker dispute route.

Content or data correction

Provide the relevant URL, specific error and a source that can be checked.

Implementation content last updated: 3 October 2026. Operator identity, address, retention periods and legal review still require human supply and approval before production publication.
